Pushing the Limits

Okay, I don't have much time to write about what's going on...I'm supposed to get all the suitcases in the van and meet my husband at the campsite in about 15 minutes.

Yesterday, we drove on a mountain trail ridge road. We quickly discovered that Matthew has an almost incapacitating fear of heights! He was okay to 11,760 feet, but the higher we drove the more he paniced! We didn't make it all the way through the loop. We had to turn around and go back. But the bad part about it is the fact that we have to drive back over that road to go to our destination of Steamboat Springs, CO. So, I guess we will have to blindfold, Matthew! I'm also feeling a little leary about driving over the same road today because I'm going to be behind the wheel this go around! Yesterday, I was sitting in the middle seat enjoying the scenery. This time, we are taking the whole caravan and moving to a new destination. So, please pray for me while I'm driving on a road where there is absolutely nothing on both sides of you but air!

On a different note, this is the first time ever since camping as a family for the past 14 years that I've opted out of camping. It was 25 degrees the previous night, raining and sleeting on and off the whole day! When it's that cold, all you want to do is climb in your sleeping bag and get warm! We were sitting in the vehicles yesterday just to stay warm! That was the first time that camping was no fun at all! So, my husband talked me into going to a motel last night with my mom and the 4 boys! We are warm at last! Randy and my dad opted to stay at the campsite! They are toughing it out!

Gotta go! Don't have time to post any pics! But we have seen some very majestic and spectacular scenery!

Thank you, Lord, for keeping us safe! I pray that you continue to do so!
